As the New Year of 2023 is now upon us, I will not dwell on the regular pontifications that most would. I will instead, just say how grateful I am that I have found the artform that I have and appreciate all the fabulous feedback that I have received from friend and "no-longer-strangers" alike. Being such a new endeavor for me, compared to others, I love the art community that lives here in Central Vermont.
I embarked on selling at a holiday bazaar for the first time in December and realized that my art is not for everyone. I also found that even thou they may not understand my artform, all were very receptive and even the other art makers were intrigued. Art pieces are for those that need to fill their walls with beauty and interest, not for farmers and outdoor-sy types. They have the mountains and forests and animals to keep them in beauty.
Thank you to 2022 for being there, if not always for the best and thank you 2023 for your promise of another year of making art and loving life here with those I love.
